Aerial Work Platform
Aerial Work Platform - There are a variety of forklift accessories presented on the market. They could help transform your lift truck so that you can expand your ability to pick stuff up or complete clean up jobs and material handling with less effort.
A few attachments were particularly used for the blades themselves. For example, fork extensions are used if you need a lot more blade length, that increases lifting capability. Fork extensions come in lengths ranging from 48-120 inches. Triangular or rounded accessories are another type used when moving rolled material to be able to make sure it does not roll off of the typical flat blades.
Examples of lifting attachments consist of pivoting and telescoping crane or boom attachments. They can come in quite a few different kinds and are most often meant for moving metal bars, lumber, poles and different types of bulky items. Other attachments such as different styles of hooks and hook plates are available so as to carry objects using a sling or chain. Slab filters and magnetic filters are other things which could be used along with hook accessories. Slab lifters are specialized accessories that are intended for picking up different materials which are delivered in a sheet or slab format. Rug rams or carpet poles are other lifting tools which connect to your lift truck in order to make moving rolls of carpet much easier. The attachment connects onto the lift truck's blades and has a pole which goes through the middle of the carpet roll.
There are many types of forklift attachment used for facility maintenance such as snow forks. These industrial forks can be attached to front end loaders and meant for transferring materials such as dirt, and mulch as well as snow. Other popular cleanup attachments consist of standard sweepers and magnetic sweepers. Standard sweepers comprise a broom which the forklift forks connect onto for sweeping large spaces like for instance factory floors, parking lots and warehouse. The magnetic sweeper is similar except that it has a magnetic plate rather than bristles. The magnetic sweeper is used in places where there is lots of metal fragments such as on shop floors for example. Sweepers have widths up to 60 inches and this surface area makes clean up simple and quick.
Material spreaders are other accessories used on lift trucks. These spreaders are useful for various applications like for instance spreading fertilizers, insecticides, seeds, ice melt, rock salt and pellets.
Another optional lifting accessory are work platforms. These could be used by lots of different businesses day by day. Platforms may range in size from 36" x 36" to up to 60" x 60". A few units may be offered and are capable of folding up and storing into a smaller place. Work platforms are designed to raise employees up to an overhead location with the use of the lift truck. Larger platform models have extra space for staff in order to bring tools and other necessary stuff meant for the task. Usually work platforms are constructed of poly material or steel.
